One of my favorite places for pho is Pho Y #1 in San Jose. The pho there is pretty great and the entire place smells amazingly of basil. However my favorite part of the experience is the menu.

phở A traditional Vietnamese noodle soup dish, consisting of rice noodles in a clear beef broth. Slivers of meat are usually placed on top at the last minute (cooking in the broth) and the soup is accompanied by a large plate of fresh ingredients (such as green onions, cilantro, peppers, basil, mint, lime, and bean sprouts).
