There are several reasons why
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays: First, it's the only day when it's legitimate to wear the most outlandish thing you can think of and get away with it. Furthermore, it's a permissible excuse for adults to return to their youth, reveling in haunted houses and other spooky surprises. And last, but not least, it's entirely acceptable to exchange (and eat) unlimited amounts of candy.

Let me introduce you to my favorite new wine label:
JAQK (which cleverly stands for Jack, Ace, Queen, King) cellars. Passionate about play and wine, the brains behind the yet-to-be-released label believe that a great bottle of wine can enhance the playful atmosphere between friends and family.
Last week I had the chance to sit down with
Joel Templin (the founder) and Bernard la Borie (the president) to taste a couple of the label's wines.

Recently I attended a friend's destination
bachelorette party. I was having a lovely time until one of the organizers asked everyone to get their present. I looked around panic stricken and wondered how I didn't know about this special surprise.

A guy can never have too many grilling accessories, so this
Father's Day treat dad to a new barbecue toy. Whether it's mesquite chips for smoking or an injector for marinating, I found the perfect BBQ essentials for every type of guy.
Since my father and I usually eat dinner on Spanish time — by that I mean later than 9 p.m.

Edible wedding favors are definitely in vogue at the moment. They're a nice way to celebrate the day, and they won't clutter up your guest's homes in the future. From cocoa to olive oil, there's something for every couple's taste buds.
