At
Elle's 15th Annual Women in Hollywood event last night, a glowing
Nicole Kidman rubbed shoulders with a host of stars, including Kate Beckinsale, Halle Berry, Eva Mendes and Anne Hathaway.
Nicole looked incredibly fresh faced, with perfect skin and just a hint of pink blush. Her eye makeup was dramatic, with dark black kohl on the upper lashes and a smudgy, lime green colour just below her eyes.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corp
polled 1,000 people over the weekend in a survey asking if the respondents think another economic depression is likely to happen in the US. The pollsters gave respondents the following facts about the Great Depression of the 1930s before collecting their answers: Unemployment reached 25 percent, there were widespread bank failures, and millions of Americans were homeless and hungry.
Of the 1,000 responses, only 13 percent believe another depression is not likely at all, 29 percent feel it's not very likely, 38 percent said it is somewhat likely, and 21 percent said a depression is very likely.

Some pets
can't get enough of leaf piles, but my scaredy pup doesn't like stepping on any surface that's not solid and definitely won't wade through masses of anything. However he will chase and chew anything that falls from trees including twigs and leaves – how about your furry friends?

I guess if you're a lawyer and your last name is Ball, and your partner's is Weed, what choice do you have but to call your law firm, "Ball & Weed"? I mean, what else are you gonna call it, "Two Guys and a Truck"? Anyway,
Oddee found some hilarious law firm names.

As the weather takes a definite turn for the worse, with an ultra cold October, extra beauty maintenance is certainly required. As you all know, I am
a body lotion addict and it's not very scientific but I definitely feel like wearing body cream is like adding an extra layer of clothing to protect against the harsh winter elements.
Of course, the first area to feel the cold and wind is usually our hands.

Actress and mama of six Angelina Jolie stars in the thriller,
Changeling, a film about a woman whose son is kidnapped. Saying that is her biggest fear, the celeb admits to checking on her children in the night. This is a common practice among many parents.

Katherine Heigl recently told US Weekly that she didn't know her own phone number; "It's all in my iPhone!" she explained.
While a few years ago, I would have thought that was crazy, I have to admit that I actually don't know my work phone number or my house line.

It's kind of hard to surprise me with a USB Drive these days; I feel like I've seen every novelty, and if I haven't yet, I think whatever the new drive (
food USBs come to mind), it can be explained as the logical conclusion to a long line of goofy thumb drives. I didn't know quite what to say, though, when I saw the
Beer USB Drive.
It's not actually beer floating in there (I don't think), and to get one, you have to order them in bulk, which means you probably don't need flash drives, but an intervention.

Not that there's any sign of the economy swinging anywhere but down in the near future, but when
82 percent of you said you've been more mindful of your money recently, it made me wonder if your heightened consciousness would stick around if things improved.
Will your new money habits become permanent, or do you think the purse strings will loosen back up once we have a healthier economy?

As the flu season quickly approaches, many parents will have to decide how to deal with snotty noses and congested chests. While many have warned parents not to give their tots over the counter cold medications, the FDA is still rejecting an immediate ban on over-the-counter cold and flu drugs for children under six claiming more testing is needed.
Do you give your small children over the counter cold remedies?
