A friend of mine, who fits the classification of
hipster to a T, also happens to love all things gourmet. Initially, I was at a loss for what to get her, but I quickly discovered that there's an array of niche gift items that converge at the juncture of food, music, and cutting-edge cool. Case in point: I have to get her this
book about underground dining, and because she loves to push the envelope, I know she'll flip for this
shopping bag.

The other day I came across
this random cup that made me do a double take. At first glance, I thought it was full of egg yolk, but then I noticed the squatting female and started to laugh.
While I find it quite humorous, I'm not exactly sure I want to drink something out of it.

When I was a kid, my mom had the most beautiful set of butterfly coasters. They were bamboo edges with clear glass on top of lace with a butterfly right in the center. They were too pretty to use and she had them as decoration, but I would play with them often.

Maybe it was all the
coffee talk this week, but when I saw these
cute fruit mugs that TeamSugar member
fairy_MK bookmarked, I decided to go on a hunt for a new coffee mug. I checked out
ShopStyle Living and found way more options than I expected. To see some of my finds, scroll through below.

If you haven't seen the line
Jane Jenni, you are in for a treat. A creative mind came up with the witty and charming sayings that have been translated onto melamine plates and cups.
If you have a little pig, a lucky duck or a fairy princess in your life, they'll delight in having a dinner set that matches their own magical personality.

Finding the perfect gift for a co-worker can sometimes be a tricky task. You hang out with them for more hours than you do your own family, but for the most part it's still an office relationship. Selecting a gift for the ones you know well will be easy, but the ones you're not as familiar with might be a bit more difficult.

Artist
Hrafnkell Birgisson has created these adorable champagne glasses. Or are they adorable tea cups? Either way I love them and want them.

While reusable containers are always best, sometimes, when you're throwing a big party, it's hard to get around the use of disposable cups. But now there's a better option.
This past weekend I attended a wedding for a bride and groom who are really eco-sensitive, so I was surprised to see plastic cups on the bar.

I saw these
anamorphic cups and saucers and immediately fell in love. The image is on the plate in plain sight, but can only be viewed when the mirrored cup is placed on it. Anamorphic creations aren't a new thing, the style first appeared in artwork in the 1600s, and became popular throughout Europe in the 18th century.
