We've been hearing lots of rumours about who's signed up to appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, with the latest recruits being footballer Teddy Sheringham and ex-S Club singer Rachel Stevens plus Lisa Snowdon. They join Jodie Kidd, Heather Small and Gary Rhodes on the list of rumoured contestants, along with Eastenders' Honey Emma Barton and Melanie Sykes. While we wait for the official BBC announcement at the end of next week, I want to know your thoughts, so tell me: which of these rumoured contestants would you most like to see on the show?

The panel of judges for next month's Bocuse d'Or — the Olympics of the culinary world — were announced last Friday. Many of the judges, such as Laurent Tourondel and Jean-Georges Vongerichten, hail from New York, which makes me wonder if the giants of the gastronomic world really do believe that New York is the center of the culinary universe.
As if the list of uber-chef judges isn't intimidating enough, Paul Bocuse, the French founder of the competition will be on hand to observe and officiate.

Gordon Ramsay took some time out from his hectic schedule to kick back, relax and show us his torso poolside in Beverly Hills. The world's third richest chef has been enjoying spending some time in the States with Tana and the kids, hanging out with the Beckhams during the family's stay in LA, where Gordon recently opened a new restaurant. Gordon may be in his forties now, but the marathon-runner hasn't let his physique slip down his list of priorities.
That gastrosexual Jamie Oliver has been busy filming an advert for his new range of pesto, complete with men dressed as the jars of sauce. Jamie was looking pretty happy and tanned as he smiled for the cameras and signed a policeman's cook book during the shoot, which involved driving his human jars of sauce around in a funky old van. It's no wonder the celebrity chef is cheerful, as he must be celebrating the news that Sainsbury's has stopped selling battery farmed chickens.
Last week Forbes released a list of the 10 top-earning celebrity chefs. The richest celebrity "chef" is Rachael Ray who, thanks to her four Food Network shows, daytime television show, magazine, and Dunkin' Donuts deal, makes $18 million a year. She's followed by Oscar caterer Wolfgang Puck ($16 million) and Gordon Ramsay ($7.5 million).

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity of going into the kitchen at San Francisco's Mission Beach Cafe. Chef Ryan Scott, a competitor on this season's Top Chef, invited me in for a crouton cooking lesson. The friendly, good-looking chef told me about his re-creation of the menu and his hopes to build the restaurant's status.
