If you think this makeup looks good enough to eat, that's because it is. Miami Beach-based
Dots Treats created these adorable cupcakes for a Nars event at Neiman Marcus, and they're pretty much the cutest cupcakes I've seen all year.
I spy a duo eye shadow in
Rated R, single eye shadow in
Party Monster, and blush in
Orgasm.

The buzz around Nars
Orgasm blush is huge, so much so that Nars has released multiple products based upon the peachy-pink hue. I've had my eye on the
blush and bronzer duo ($37), which packages Orgasm with Laguna bronzer. Both are beautiful colors, but until I finish my full-size Orgasm blush, I can't justify buying it.

Last night at the
2008 Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles,
Ugly Betty star America Ferrera arrived wearing a flattering and
sophisticated black strapless taffeta dress and an elegant diamond necklace. Her
hair was styled in soft, classical waves and her makeup was a complement and a nod to old Hollywood glamour.
Nars makeup artist Vanessa Scali described America's look as "simple, sophisticated and classic."

The new makeup collections for autumn showcase a plethora of barely-there beiges and pink nudes to chose from this season.
Bobbi Brown has an entire line entitled Shimmering Nude, whilst the
Nars collection features glistening neutral lip colours with pared-down sheer formulations.
Already it seems that nude lips, whether matte, sheer or ultra glossy, will still be going strong next spring.

From
goth glamour to
super natural and polished ladylike looks, it's time to start thinking about the Autumn/Winter beauty trends.
Here's my pick of the best new products, from
metallic eyeshadows to deep-stained lipsticks – to re vamp your look and keep you ahead of the trends.

This week, at the Disaster Movie party in Cabo San Lucas, actress, model, and
fitness buff Carmen Electra played on the beach looking gorgeous and glowing with her quintessential summertime tan.
Besides her electrifying eyes (I wonder how many times she's heard that one), her skin oozed an undeniable radiance. We know that she's been hanging out at the
DKNY House soaking up the rays, but something tells me that she's being careful with SPF, because her wrinkles are minimal.

When you hear the phrase "Welcome to the Jungle," don't you think of the
Guns N' Roses song? Not so with Nars. The brand's new three-piece red lipstick, nail polish and lip liner collection was inspired by the old Hollywood glamour from the movie,
The Women, a deliciously catty 1939 film starring Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer and Rosalind Russell (to name a few).

The invention of cream eye shadows has had a time-saving impact on my life. Not only are they easy to apply (you don't even need to use a brush), but depending on the color, they can also double as a highlighter. They're a cinch to travel with since they can't spill, and they typically dry to a nice, powdery finish.

About a month ago, Nars released a new, highly concentrated, skin-restoring face moisturizer called
Lipid Support Potent EFA Cream ($70 for 1.7 oz). This thick, lightly scented lotion is formulated with lipids (Omega-3 fatty acids and ceramides),
acai and
hyaluronic acid to replenish your skin and to create a more hydrated texture. In turn, this helps aid in skin-cell regeneration and decrease wrinkles and create an overall more supple appearance.

The Fall makeup collections are arriving thick and fast at the moment, but one of my favourites is
Nars. They've taken a muted, yet interesting, palette as basis of their new collection – and it's the perfect complement to the Autumn/Winter trends.
Expect brilliant neutrals in shimmering tones, such as Isolde, (£23) – a frosted ginger and shimmering copper duo eyeshadow, or the Fez, (£15), a single eyeshadow in a soft, velvety cocoa.
The eye shadows take chocolate and ginger as a starting point, whilst the lip colours, in coral, cherry and mauve, are wearable, yet sophisticated.
