"On the sixth day, God created man in his own image. Now it's up to us to figure it all out." Thus begins (in an opening narration by Sylar instead of Mohinder, which I think is a nice change of pace) the final episode in this
Heroes volume, "Villains."

Merry Moroccan Christmas,
Office fans! I really think this week's episode is totally old-school Office goodness, which is a great way to end the 2008 episodes. Plenty of superuncomfortable, cringe-worthy moments mixed with hilarious things and Jam cuteness and — perhaps my favorite part of all — another Jim prank for Dwight!

Meet Sylar's daddy!
The latest rumblings about
Heroes to come from Michael Ausiello's files have to do with a certain evildoer's father. Sylar's daddy will be
played by John Glover, a.k.a.

Here we are,
Heroes watchers, the second to last episode before the finale of this volume, "Villains." This week, Hiro and Claire have traveled 16 years back in time, and they interact with their parents and their past selves. Meanwhile, the cruel side of Sylar is back in full force, and Nathan sees firsthand what is being planned for the future at Pinehearst.

Announcements from major media companies yesterday made it clear that the recession has hit those who report on it. Meanwhile, the Pulitzer Prizes announced
plans to accept submissions from web-only news outlets, providing a redundant wake-up call to traditional news companies failing to get by. Here's a roundup of traditional media's most recent struggles:
- New York Times: Like many Americans, the New York Times Company will borrow against its house to keep the cash flowing.

At Dunder-Mifflin this week, Michael finds out that their branch has a surplus (I love Oscar's patient surplus explanation using the lemonade stand analogy) of $4,300 that they must use by the end of the day or it will be deducted from next year's budget. The staff is then divided on how to use the money: new chairs, or a new copier? Elsewhere, Dwight, Andy and Angela are butting heads while planning Andy and Angela's wedding at Schrute Farms.
The Office to Air After the Super Bowl Well, this rumor is now official:
The Office will air after the Super Bowl, writes The Hollywood Reporter. Also in NBC's latest round of scheduling announcements:
Kings will get ER's timeslot in the Spring, and Celebrity Apprentice is now two hours long.

Ah, what the eclipse tooketh away, the return to normal sunlight has giveth (giveneth?) back. The heroes (and villains, I guess) regain their powers after a harrowing eclipse, and everyone has learned a little something about him or herself. I really liked that spooky gray-light that the eclipse cast on everything.

NBC
may soon name the next permanent host of Meet the Press. Whomever succeeds longtime host Tim Russert,
who died unexpectedly earlier this year, will surely become one of the most influential journalists in the world.
Every president since John F.
FNL, Superstars of Dance on NBC's January Schedule NBC today announced its January schedule, which includes Superstars of Dance, Howie Mandel's hidden camera reality show Howie Do It, and the NBC premiere of
Friday Night Lights on Jan. 16. Meanwhile,
Heroes and
Chuck will take January off.
