It's like a patchwork puppy face! Since I admittedly go a bit crazy for
all things Boston, I'm gaga over this cute clip. Nevermind that I don't have a purse I'd snap it on (and believe less-is-more when it comes to my keys), I think this would make a nice gift and a new way for a pet parent to show off a lil one no matter where they snap.

It's pretty standard for people to leave their holiday decorations up through New Year's, and even a couple weeks into January. And for those who decorate before Thanksgiving, that means the halls will be decked might a good two months. So, now that the guests have headed home and the presents have been unwrapped (and returned/exchanged, ha!), it's about time to start cleaning and packing up after months of hard partying.

Unless you have an artificial Christmas tree or none at all, you'll need to safely dispose of your live tree after the holidays. First things first: Don't
burn it in your fireplace! This can contribute to creosote buildup in your chimney, and most Christmas trees will dangerously pop and spark in a fire.

With the new year comes a whole new set of hopes, dreams, and goals to fulfill, and while I'm making my own resolutions, I'm also thinking about what I want my entertainment to be like in 2009. I've been sharing some thoughts about
what I'm looking forward to in the coming year, but for now, I'm wondering: What are your big entertainment hopes for 2009?
I'll start: I hope there's no actors' strike, I hope
Privileged gets renewed, I hope the film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are actually hits theaters, and I hope that
Damages,
Mad Men, and
Lost stay strong in their upcoming new seasons.
Resolutions are hard to keep, and it's not uncommon to fall off the wagon just days after vowing to break a bad habit or pledging a healthier lifestyle. Since we're just two days into the New Year, be honest, have you already broken your
New Year's resolution?

North woke up ready to ring in 2009 (OK, maybe he's this excited every morning), but I'm in the mood to bake something yummy
like I did last year. Lucy Postins, founder of
The Honest Kitchen, shared her own homemade Holiday Noshers recipe with me a while back, and I'm thinking that's what I should bake up for my pooch today. If you want to join me in treating a pal to these fruity treats, get the recipe and .

Every year
individual Americans vow to lose weight, pay off debts, quit smoking, or volunteer. It may be time for the entire country to make a commitment to reform in 2009. The country sure has a lot of debt to pay off, government policy could do more to fight obesity and volunteer programs are crucial to keeping social programs running.

From not letting Fido hog the blankets and your side of the bed to not catering to Fluffy's constant desire for your food and not cat food, I want to hear all about your New Year's resolutions involving furry friends.
Personally, I plan to improve North's behavior towards strangers, maybe working his exuberance down to mild excitement! I know this change, as with any resolution, starts with me.

We wanted to wish all of our friends, families, and readers a very happy and healthy New Year! We can't wait for even more fun and excitement in 2009, and we're already gearing up for another fabulous year together. While we wait for what's just around the corner, cheers to you and yours!
