For their
Halloween special last Friday,
Regis Philbin and
Kelly Ripa dressed up in fourteen different costumes, four of which included celebrity chefs. Regis yelled at the audience as
Gordon Ramsay while Ripa's
Paula Deen munched on a butter kabob that she washed down with a glass of oil. The real
Guy Fieri showed up to cook a flank steak with the "chefs."

Last Sunday afternoon, I went to the Chelsea market, home of the
Food Network Studios in New York City, to watch a live taping of a new
Guy Fieri show. The one-hour long special, Guy's Family Feast, focuses on Guy's family and will air sometime in December or January. To find out what it was like to view the taping, .

All weekend we've been attending the
Food Network's Wine and Food Festival in New York City.
We learned some interesting food facts at the demonstrations and tastings. To find out what the celebrity chefs taught us, test your common culinary knowledge by taking our quiz!

My
rice journey continues with these scrumptious stuffed poblanos. I had chorizo in my fridge, so when I stumbled across this recipe I knew I had to make it. The chorizo is cooked with spicy and sweet peppers making for a flavorful rice base.

Last week I had the chance to speak with
Food Network's
Guy Fieri. He's the host of three shows —
Guy's Big Bite,
Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, and
Guy Off the Hook — and winner of the
Next Food Network Star season two. Filming keeps him incredibly busy, but in his spare time, the celebrity chef — who prefers hot dogs to hamburgers and mustard to ketchup — continues to experiment in the kitchen.

In case its around-the-clock food shows aren't enough for you,
Food Network has announced it will test-launch a new cooking magazine.
The 160-page debut issue of the aptly titled Food Network Magazine will
hit shelves on Oct. 14 with a rather limited distribution of 300,000 copies.

Last night on the
Next Food Network Star the final three had to make a promotional commercial for their show and create an over the top buffet for Las Vegas performers. Former NFNS winner,
Guy Fieri, coached the contestants and acted as the guest judge.
While each finalist ran into certain obstacles (Lisa burned her pork, Aaron bombed his introduction, and Adam went smoking crazy), I felt like the promos were totally unfair.

While Tinseltown was partying at
The Oscars, our favorite celebrity chefs were demonstrating their skills at the
South Beach Wine and Food Festival. While there is definitely a lot of partying going on, during the day the chefs displayed their culinary skills and talked about their books. Naturally some of them did with a beer in hand, and all of them did it with a huge smile on their face.

Yesterday marked the kick-off of the
2008 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Think of it as spring break for the culinary elite. While Hollywood may be galavanting off to Los Angeles for the
Oscars, your favorite chefs and Food Network personalities are hanging out on the beach, drinking beer, eating burgers, playing poker, and having what looks like tons of fun.

Wondering what cocktail to serve at a
cookie exchange party? How about a cookie cocktail? Made with crushed Oreos, vodka, and pineapple juice, this is a tasty drink that will please all of your guests.
