In 2003, designer
Narciso Rodriguez successfully launched his gorgeous first fragrance collection,
For Her Eau de Toilette ($40 to $87), a seductive, great-for-evening kind of scent. And this Spring, Rodriguez is about to get a little more demure with Essence Eaux de Parfum Collection ($33 to $100), a new fragrance line that also will include a body lotion, shower gel, and deodorant spray.
“Essence is very sexy but has that crisp, clean, pure quality of sunlight,” Rodriguez
told WWD.

WWD reports that the Too Faced collection will feature face powder, eye shadow, lip gloss, and liquid eyeliners.
All you secret (or not-so-secret) Sanrio fans out there, you can soon say "hi" to a new Hello Kitty cosmetics line from MAC. Debuting on Feb. 10, there will be lipsticks, lip conditioners, and lipglasses — which is a bit odd, since Hello Kitty herself has no mouth to model them — in addition to glittery liners, shimmery shadows, and a whole lot of pink.
Don't call it a comeback: Fresh on the heels of the launch of
Britney Spears' Believe fragrance comes word of yet another—Hidden Fantasy, which will be in stores in January. According to the perfumer, Rodrigo Flores-Roux, “The original inspiration for this fragrance comes from Britney’s love for white florals, vanilla, and luscious desserts. Drawing from a cherished memory of my own, I built this fragrance with a heart of sensual jasmine and sweet Napolitano cake.”
Indeed, Hidden Fantasy ($55 for 3.3 oz) is a very saccharine scent, with discernible notes of Mexican vanilla bean, orange and clove.

After
last year's collaboration with Alexander McQueen, MAC is getting fashionable yet again. This time, the brand is working with Emanuel Ungaro, the fashion house headed by 24-year-old designer Esteban Cortazar, on a 14-piece makeup collection inspired by the Fall 2008 runway look.
For the show, lead makeup artist Sharon Dowsett created the look with a painter in mind.
