Finally, a president paying attention to agriculture...long overdue. And while at that, take care of reinforcing the standards for what we import!

Yes! Someone will finally pay attention to the things that are wrong with this country. Its so sad that it took this long for a president elect to talk about what the foods that are mainstreamed in this country do to us in 360 fashion. I am going to be so mad if at least half of what he says doesn't come into fruition.

Of course! It is wonderful to know that our future president cares so much about how food gets from the farms to our plates...it's something more people should consider. As much as I love Michael Pollan, I am not sure we need him in the cabinet, but the more people read his writing, the more I hope they will pay more attention to what and ow they eat!

If we take care of the farming soil and practices now, it will last longer... Smiling

His speech says enough, "The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term."

guess he's already looking for re-election...

well i think that part of what he's doing is reminding us that agriculture and providing for our own country is something that's a mainstay and that the better quality of the product the better quality of life. it's a win win if people are able to understand and grasp reform. i hope that this is just one of the things that we can see a change in during the next few years.

I think perhaps looking into other, cheaper fuel resources, not just for farmers, but everybody. I think corn is not a fuel and farmers are gettin' greedy with the entire corn as fuel thing. When it come to obesity in America, hey nobody makes you down that double cheeseburger, large fries, Hershey pie and a diet soda. It's American's own fault and I don't really need to government regulating what's on my table, to where my pay check goes.

Obviously I am not an Obama supporter on any subject.

MsMO, it's always helpful to read carefully before commenting. Your comment is beside the idea presented.
