Local Foods, I've been trying to go to the local farmers markets. The Honda ad is driving me nuts too!

Why did I have to just pick one? And I was just gonna complain about the Honda myself, nice to know I'm not alone.

I picked high end comfort foods since the rest of the list doesn't really do anything for me. Capital Grille has a really nice Lobster Macaroni & Cheese. That sounds like the definition of high end comfort food to me.

The return of quality frozen yogurt! Especially nonfat and lowfat in plain flavor.

I love flavoured waters, but I hate that it is so hard to find ones w/out sweetner.

I'm going with high-end comfort foods. And local foods.

For me, food has ALWAYS been a fun activity!

High end comfort food seems to be a couple of years old. I think it was a Bon Appetit trend of the year three years ago. Of course, food trends can't really be confined to a year; I think the fancy frozen yogurt trend is the most defining of this year, though.

I agree wholeheartedly about that annoying Honda ad. I logged off once already because of it.

I'm a big tea lover, so I'm enjoying that food trend. Smiling

Total tea fanatic, so that was my vote. However, I also love flavored water (especially since I hate unflavored water).

local food--so glad this trend is catching on. And yes, that honda ad pisses me off--and it certainly doesn't make me want to buy a honda!!

Local food is phenomenal! Such a great trend and a such a good way to eat! But, oh do I heart Pinkberry. It's been a real highlight of moving to LA. And spotting the other shops that riff of the name is fun too - Snowberry, Kiwiberry, Yogurtberry. My favorite name is Yogurt Queen by Haus, but I haven't been in yet.

I love the high end comfort foods (it really makes me rethink my leftovers too!), but since I drink flavored water almost every day.....I gotta go with that one. =)

we don't have a pinkberry here, but we have a place called counter culture that I believe is very similar in concept (and taste, though I have no direct comparison). I tell you the truth I have that stuff at least once a week every week all year - so that's my fave for this year for sure!

local food: In my opinion, its best that we get away from chemically preserved packaged foods and eat naturally fresh pure foods.

I love exotic dark chocolate. I just dicovered it this year, and I buy a large bar and eat a square at a time with fruit. It's such a yummy snack and not heavy in calories.

technically, pinkberry is not frozen yogurt. The FDA had them remove "frozen yogurt" from their name and advertising because it's made from powder....and it tastes yucky....

I am dying to try Pinkberry but I live in Atlanta, so I'd have a long way to go to sample some! I had to go with the high-end comfort foods, too. There is a place in Atlanta called RARE and is soulfood tapas, and they have the most amazing ship and grits on toast and gourmet mac and cheese. Oh and the chicken and waffles. Amazing!

I chose before I saw Local Food! Boo, I love going to Farmer's Markets and to the farm to get veggies. Next year, I'll just have to walk out back!
