Even with a stack of cookbooks surrounding you, this sweet yogurt sundae with saffron and pomegranate makes you brush everything else aside. I think I know what I'm serving for dessert at my next dinner party! — Steamy Kitchen

I love pomegranates but how do people eat pomegranates in salads, drinks, desserts, etc. when you're at a fancy restaurant? Don't you have to spit out the pits eventually or do you just swallow them?

mamaseacat. I had the same question! I've eaten them before when I was young, and I remember having to spit out all the pits, which ended up being too much work for the amount you get. That doesn't seem to be a very classy thing to do!

I always eat the white part of the pomegranate seeds. Some people don't, but i think it's too much trouble to spit out the white parts. sk - sure thing, thanks for sharing the recipe with the world, it looks fab!

Aren't the little white pits close in size to a lemon seed? That's something I have a hard time eating, but they're soooo god for you! I love yogurt.

That looks delicious, but I can't eat yogurt. It's a texture issue; my throat just closes up to it.
