Béarnaise, behr-NAYZ
A classic French sauce that is served with fish, meat, eggs, or vegetables. The sauce is a reduction of wine, vinegar, egg yolks, butter, shallots, and tarragon.

    It is appropriate that the picture you have is Danish, because bernaise sauce is everywhere is Denmark.

    It is a nice sauce, especially with seafood. But I will say a little goes a long way.

    I know that sauce. We call it "Bearnez sos" (pronounciation: "barnaz" sauce) We serve it with only meat and some vegetables with them.
