Suck My Bic - Candy Capped Pens

Sometimes designers come up with products that make you say, "I can't believe no one's thought of that yet." This time it's Clement Eloy, a young French designer, and his prototype pen called "Suck My Bic." The name is a tad bit risque, but what else would you call a pen that has a flavored candy pen cap? I don't know about you guys, but as someone who accidentally chews on the ends of pens, I think this idea is rather clever. It's only in the prototype phase, so naturally there are a few drawbacks - Do you put a sticky pen cap in your purse? What happens when you eat the entire cap, but the pen still has ink? If it ever comes to market, I'm sure they'll work out the details.

I am not a pen chewer or a nail biter. However, I did work with an editor who chewed his pencil to bits. He held it in his teeth like a horse's bit. Maybe they can invent something for him...

LMAO at the name of this. Those are good questions, I wouldnt put a half-sucked on lollipop in my bag, so I wouldnt know what to do with this pen after I ate half the cap.

But there is a recipe in Road Dahls cookbook that tells you how to coat a pen in candy.

Woah! That would be pretty cool. Except.. they should probably change the name.

Oh, I think the name is fitting and funny. But really, what would you do after you ate the cap?

I myself don't think it's a good idea, it encourages the bad habit. It's kinda gross if you think about it.. not very sanitary.

This was one of Sean's invention ideas on Felicity. I think we should give him credit, even if he's only a fictional character. Someone thought of it, right?

Is it just me or does the girl modeling the pen seem to have a red blemish in the corner of her mouth? Herpes? I think so...

See, the dirty name of the pen has come around to bite her in the booty!

Crispet i noticed that too about that girl!!

I always try so hard not to chew on my pen caps, but if it were made of candy I know I wouldn't be able to break my habit of it.

Hmmm nice idea but definitely would not know where to put it after. and if you left it lying around it would create a mess!

OMG, I just remembered that I have a Roald Dahl cookbook from when I was a teeny little girl...with all these cheeky recipes from his books, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It had a recipe for Candy Pens in it. But these, erm, Lick My Bic Pens strike me as being quuuiiite skankalicious
