Jamba Juice Testing Organic To Go Food Items

Smoothie chain Jamba Juice is teaming up with Organic To Go to test out a new line of organic food products. In an effort to boost sales, Jamba Juice is considering adding Organic To Go branded items — grab and go salads, sandwiches, wraps, cookies, and yogurt parfaits — to their already existing menu of classic fruit smoothies. The testing will take place in three West Coast stores in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA, and Bellevue, WA. If the test is successful, the partnership will expand to all of Jamba Juice's 749 stores nationwide. Steven Berrard, CEO of Jamba Juice, explains the affiliation:

We’re excited about the possibilities of this test. Our partnership with Organic To Go provides Jamba customers organic and natural food that supports their growing desire for a healthy lifestyle.

The news comes as no surprise as fast food chains across the country scramble to deal with the declining economy. I'll be curious to check out the meals, how about you?

I really like Jamba Juice smoothies, but haven't had one in awhile b/c it's too cold right now for Smoothies! This deal could bring me back to the stores, though.

I love Jamba Juice! Its the first thing I get when I land in CA to visit family every year. Sadly there's only like 4 JJ's in FL and they're all so far away!

I'll give them a try, I'm sure, but Jamba is so filling anyway I almost never get any food to go with my smoothies. Those things are like fruity meals in a cup.

well i guess the organic feel works for this chain, but i don't know about how successful they will be with the food piece. i'm a fan of going to a place that i know specializes in something specific and if they are going to start branching out from the smoothies, then i'm just going to get confused/annoyed.

I adore Jamba Juice - it's the only place that sells smoothies that I love. I've also used their lip balm for years and I just found out they discontinued it Sad The organic food they bring in will surely be better than what they have now. I ordered a pretzel once out of desperation and it was dreadful.

Jamba Juice really makes the best smoothies, I tried many other stores but none compare..

Nowadays that Organic food is becoming so popular this could be a very interesting and successful initiative. I definitely see this as an investment opportunity with great returns in the long run in Jamba Juice stocks (their symbol is JMBA)
