Here's a tip I picked up a long time ago - you've probably already seen it, but I thought I'd pass it along just in case. If you happen to have an egg slicer in your mix of kitchen contraptions, you can now move it from uni-tasker to multi-tasker. Not only are egg slicers perfect for creating uniform strips of egg, but they work well on mushrooms and strawberries too. Now you can have sliced strawberries for your spinach and strawberry salad in no time.

i use mine for grape/cherry tomatoes...i like the little slices for bruschetta and salads

i don't even have an egg slicer...but knowing it is more versatile might make me put it on my kitchen-gadgets-that-i-want list.

My mom used to have an egg slicer and I loved playing with it. Until I popped one of the strings. Then, I put it back in the drawer and pretended like I knew nothing about it. Needless to say, she knew that I had done it. Banished from the kitchen! Heheheh!

You can use them for slicing cheese, kiwis, bananas...

Honestly? Hadn't thought about it, but using it as a strawberry slicer is a great idea! I love spinach and strawberries...
