One of the many things I love my husband for, making me realize I LOVE oysters (I used to be turned off by their texture).

aside from the fact that i don't eat any fish/meat/poultry - the concept of oysters has always been a bit gross to me. i guess some people really do like them, but me, i think that i'll pass.

A taste I acquired from my mother. Absolutely love oysters. Raw is preferred, but I make a mean oyster stew.

I love oysters...but they don't love me. Sad They make me hurl! Well, at least the last 3 times I've tried to eat them. Now I'm just plain scared of them.

I agree with bluebellknoll. My system just can't handle them. Either that or the oysters I had haven't been properly prepared. After my experiences, I too am just plain scared of them.

They served smoked oysters on crostini at my engagement party and they were so great, but that's the only time I ate them. I can't bear the thought of chucking a raw slimy thing down my throat.

BBQ but not a fav with me. I like to chew my food not swallow it. Yes, I've had them all ways, many times and I eat everything but they just aren't that good to me.

And I can't stomach it when someone tells me they're an aphrodisiac, it drives me nuts.

Ooooh yeah! I LOVE oysters! Raw, cold, simple with just a squeeze of lemon- HEAVEN!!!! I traveled around Normandy last summer and visited an oyster farm. I got to see how they're harvested, I chose mine directly and they shucked them on the spot and served them with a little glass of white wine! Ah, eating oysters while wearing rubber boots! Brilliant! Mmmmmmmmm!

YUMM! Oysters are a longstanding family tradition here. Raw at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and well, any other occassion that seems to fit. I'll may oyster stew in the winter. We have oyster feeds with my family pan fried and just so yummy! My grandmother makes the BEST pan fried oysters, and she hates the things. Doesn't hurt my feelings at all, more for the rest of us.

Oooh, now I want oysters. They're on the "no no" list for pregnancy...come on someone, convince me it's okay! Wait, there is no "R" in July or August...whew, I'm off the hook until September...and then what will I do?

I want to like them — I love seafood — but just can't. Too slimy? xo

I don't like the texture so I can't eat them. But I do love me some clams and mussels!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Oysters. My mom and I like to drive to point reyes and buy them from the farmers directly. Also my nephew (he is 10) craves them and is our seafodd eating companion. If he could he would eat all of them and not share a boy after my own heart!

I love raw oysters. Over the years I have come to love them with no extra sauce. I slurp down the oyster with no adulterations. The more copper-y the oyster is the better.

I can't actually judge cause I've never had them. If I could get past the texture I'd probably love them. I love sushi, calamari, etc.

I love cooked oysters! I've heard good things about raw oysters, and I'm a pretty adventurous eater but the idea gives me the heebie jeebies. I want to get some and make em myself because they end up being sort of expensive to get at a restaurant for how much food you actually get.
